George Steven Price

George Steven “Steve” Price was born on June 28, 1961, in Marlin, to William “Bill” and Mary Honeycutt Price. Steve took his last earthly breath on Oct. 5, 2021, at 12:15 p.m. and his forever heavenly breath began at 12:16 p.m.  

A graveside service was held on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2021, at Blue Ridge Cemetery with Father Ray Bagby officiating. A visitation  was held one hour prior to the service at Blue Ridge Cemetery. 

Steve married the love of his life, Libby, on July 3, 2001, in Marlin, where they spent every day together for 20 years. Steve enjoyed the outdoors; hunting and fishing. He was a skilled bow hunter and had a great love of the land and wildlife. Steve was a welder by trade but was also a jack of all trades and a master of none. He was an avid animal lover and leaves behind his best friends and companions, Tanner and Rio.  

Steve was preceded in death by his parents. 

Left to honor his memory is his wife, Libby; stepson, Chip Pierce and family of West Monroe, La.; Aunt Tidy and Melinsky of Waco; nephews, Justin and Jared Murry of Waco;  and friends, Sam and Patty Bosnack of Marlin. He is also survived by the family that he chose and the family that chose him. 

Pallbearers  were Justin Murry, Jared Murry, Robyn Flowers, Mel Juarez, Travis Lynn Williams, Frankie Dingrando, and Beau Garrett.
