Gladys Martinez Downes

Gladys Martinez Downes, age 59, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016 in Waco, Texas. A memorial service was held on Friday, October 28, at 11:00 a.m. at Spanish Assembly of God in Marlin with Pastor’s Jonas Davila and Joel Davila officiating. Gladys was born March 2, 1957 to Lupe and Eulalia (Rosas) Martinez in San Antonio, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Marlin and a member of Spanish Assembly of God. Gladys enjoyed gardening, preparing meals for the church, her dogs and caring for her grandson along with her nieces and nephews. Gladys leaves behind her son, Marcus Downes of Marlin, grandson, Isaac Downes of Marlin, sister,
Sylvia Tobias of Waco, brothers, Robert Martinez of Hewitt and Isaac Martinez of Waco; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends. Services are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.
