James Charles Ratliff

Funeral services for James Charles Ratliff will be held, Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 11 a.m. at South Union Missionary Baptist Church. Viewing will be held Friday, July 22, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Paul Funeral Home Chapel. Interment at China Grove Cemetery in Lott, Texas. Mask and social distancing will be required.

James Charles Ratliff was born on March 13, 1954, in Marlin to the parentage of T.C. and Jewel Paul Ratliff. He received Christ at an early age at the Greater Providence Baptist Church in Marlin.

James Charles was a proud member of the Booker T. Washington High School Class of 1972. After high school, he attended North Texas State University in Denton where he received a degree in finance in 1982. After graduation, he worked for a large insurance company in Dallas for many years. James was a kind and generous man who loved hanging with family and friends and was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, T.C. and Jewel Paul Ratliff.

After a long illness, James Charles was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 11, 2022. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished by a special cousin, Alfred Hayes, a host of other cousins, family, friends and all who knew him and loved him dearly.
