James L. Ellison, 84, of Mexia, died Monday, Jan. 18, 2021, in a Mexia Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021, in Powers Chapel Cemetery near Rosebud. Mark Ellison will officiate.
Mr. Ellison was born Sept. 29, 1936, in Cameron to Carlton Wright and Jacque Jean Jackson Ellison. He lived in Mexia most of his life.
He is survived by one niece, Dana Ellison and partner Michael; two nephews, Wright Ellison and wife Carolyn of Baileyville and Mark Ellison and wife Claudia of Austin; several cousins and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud is in charge of arrangements.
