Larry Lynn Walker

Larry Lynn Walker of Marlin, Texas died on July 24, 2020 at the age of 64. Larry was born November 19, 1955 in Bell County  the son of Opal Jerene Courtney and William Birch (W.B.) Walker. He was raised in the Bottoms community in Eastern Bell County and attended school in Troy, Texas graduating in 1974. After graduation, Larry moved to Marlin to fulfill his true calling in life of ranching and cowboy day work. Larry met and married the love of his life, Kathleen (Kathy) Phillips on July 08, 1978.  Together they had one daughter, Tracey Lynn. 

Larry’s cowboy skills were unparalleled and he was well known in the Falls County ag community for the last 50 years. He was great with a horse and even better with a rope. Whether working in a sale barn or in the pasture,  Larry’s passion in life was tending to his cattle. Larry never met a stranger and always remembered a face. He was always eager to lend a hand and help others  in their time of need. Over the years, he touched many lives and shared his knowledge with anyone who chose to listen to ol Larro. Later in life, Larry took great pride in his family and especially his twin grandchildren, Bryson Brent and Bailey Lynn Bruner. 

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, W.B. and Opal Walker of the Bottoms community. 

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Walker of Marlin. His daughter, Tracey and husband, Cody Bruner of Lorena and their two children, Bryson and Bailey. Brother, William Walker and wife Sharon of Marlin and their sons Justin and Brady. Along with numerous other family and friends. 

Honorary pallbearers include Pokey Swinnea, Steve Childre, Steven Schneider, Clinton Schneider,  Bobby Stewart, Anthony Roppolo, Gary Worrnat, Melton Albright, Jase Albright, Brad Erwin, Ronnie Newman, Bob Davis, Tim Short and Justin Childre. 

Visitation will be held on July 27, 2020 at 6:00 pm at Adams Funeral Home, 129 Coleman St, Marlin, Texas. 

Graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery in Marlin, Texas on July 28, 2020 at 10:30 am with Brother Roger Nutt officiating.
