Lois Lamson Roberson

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Lois Lamson Roberson, 86, on March 8, 2021. She passed peacefully at her residence in Richmond, Texas, after a long battle with cancer.

Lois was born in Marlin on Dec. 2, 1934, to Newton Reed Lamson and Rosa Mae Morgan Lamson. At age 14, she met the love of her life, Harvey Roberson, and they married years later on Nov. 24, 1962, in Marlin. They lived there with their two children, Susan and Russell, until they retired to Burnet.

Predeceased by her parents, son Russell Roberson, devoted husband Harvey Roberson, sisters Rowena Adams and Virginia Wetzel, and brother Ronald Lamson.

Survivors include her sister Patricia Adams of Marlin; daughter Susan Fitzpatrick of Richmond; grandchildren Logan Fitzpatrick with wife Jessica and their children Auburn and Easton of Richmond, and Molly Fitzpatrick with fiancé Mason Horbath of Beaumont.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 11, 2021, from 12-1:30 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery with Reverend Cameron Supak officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

The family would like to thank her amazing caregiver, Maribel Ramos, and Kristi Bennett of Providence Hospice for all of their love and care.
