Lora Grace Rochelle

 On March 20, 2019, Ms. Lora Grace Rochelle died at the age of 88. She passed away at the home of her daughter, Ms. Teri Rochelle Gathings. Her husband, Kenneth Rochelle preceded in death. Mrs. Rochelle was born in Dallas, TX on August 22, 1930, to the parents of M.T. Ryan and Birdie Kelly Ryan of Reagan, TX. She graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas TX in 1948. After graduation, she came to visit her aunt, Mrs. Audrien Hartman where she met Kenneth Rochelle of Marlin, TX. They married in 1950 and continued to live in Marlin, TX until 1954. They moved to Dallas, TX and then to Duncanville, TX where they lived until 1987. Upon the death of her husband, she moved to her mother’s homeplace in Reagan, TX.

While living in Dallas, she was a secretary for an insurance agency. Upon moving to Reagan, she took over the cattle operation started by her husband. During her 60’s she went to work at the Hobby Unit in the mail room. Mrs. Rochelle is preceded in life by her brother, Mr. Ralph Ryan and sisterin-law Mrs. Tereasa Ryan, daughter, Ms. Teri Rochelle Gathings, and her son, Reese Rochelle, and her grandchildren Ryan Gathings, Regan Gathings, and Nicole Rochelle. Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 30th at the Waite Cemetery in Reagan, TX. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the American Cancer Society or the Diabetic Association.
