Lucio Moreno

Lucio Moreno, Jr., 60, of Marlin, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020 in a Temple hospital.  Graveside services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, October 12, 2020 in Calvary Cemetery with Father Gregory McLaughlin officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, October 11th at Adams Funeral Home.

Mr. Moreno was born on December 9, 1959 in Gustine, Texas to Romana (Castro) and Lucio Moreno, Sr.  He married Mary Dolores Garcia on May 18, 1989 and they celebrated over 31 wonderful years together.  Mr. Moreno retired for the City of Marlin after 27 years of service, after he retired he worked for AMTZ Construction Company until his illness.  He loved working on cars, drawing, embroidering and playing the guitar but his true love was his family.  Mr. Moreno was preceded in death by his parents, brother; Albert Moreno, sister; Dora Fearing and brother-in-law; Tom Garcia, Jr.

Survivors include his wife; Mary Dolores Moreno, daughter; Paloma Moreno, brothers; Nick Moreno and Martin Moreno and his wife, Mary Lou, sisters; Maria McCormick, Julie Carrizales and her husband, Crespin, Yolanda Rosas and her husband, Max and Mary Dominguez and her husband, Frank, sisters-in-law; Mary Rodriguez, Molly Downes and her husband, David and Elizabeth Garcia, kids; Blake Elfrez and Bristol Logan and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
