Marcelino (Mino) Robles

Marcelino (Mino) Robles, 68, of Marlin, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2021, in Temple.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021, at Adams Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 29, 2021, at the funeral home with Bro. Cain Wheeler officiating.

Mino was born on Oct. 30, 1952, to Paul Robles Sr. and Juanita (Gonzales) Robles in Seguin. He was a longtime resident of Marlin and attended schools in Marlin.  Mino served in the United States Marines for two years. Mino enjoyed welding and he was a man of many talents. He could build a house, install an engine and make the best damn tortillas. Mino was an avid fisherman and could always be found on the water somewhere waiting for a bite. If he wasn’t holding a fishing pole you can be assured he was holding on to some handle bars as he rode his Harley through town.

He cherished and adored his children and grandchildren. His legacy lives on through them. Mino never met a stranger and made many friends throughout his life. Once you got Mino talking he would dominate the conversation and have you laughing the whole time. He was a man who loved life and lived it the way he wanted, without fear.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Juanita; and sisters, Susie Wegman and Hortencia Colunga.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Grady of Marlin; sons, Christopher Robles, Lorenzo Robles and wife Lorena of Marlin, and Jacob Robles of Austin; daughter, Savannah Robles of Marlin; son, Triston Robles of De Leon; step-son, Joseph Smith of Marlin; granddaughters and grandsons, Gabrielle Robles, Christopher Robles Jr., Emrys Robles, Lorenzo Robles Jr., Justin, Robles, Jordan Robles, Damian Robles, and Kalani Ellis; and siblings, Ernestine Rodriguez, Paul Robles Jr.,  Mercedes Rodriguez, Mary Saenz, Rosie Robles, Frank Robles, and Anna Wheeler.
