Marcelle A. Hinson

Marcelle A. Hinson, 95, formerly of Rosebud, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022, in Fairfield hospital.  

Funeral were held on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin with the Reverend Jud Strawbridge officiating. Interment followed in Powers Chapel in Rosebud. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, July 22, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hinson was born Aug. 14, 1927, in Mexia to Veron Lee and Lena Irene (McBride) Kennedy. She married William F. (Bill) Hinson in Rosebud and they were married for over 20 years until his death in 1998.  Mrs. Hinson loved playing her guitar and her two dogs, Baby Girl and Rosie but her true love was her family; especially her kids and grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three brothers.

Survivors include her daughters, Colla Gail Thompson and her husband Larry, and Elva Jo Rollins and her husband Joe; sister, Lutheria Mayo; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
