Marvin Nelson

Marvin Nelson, 61, of Waco, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2021. 

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021, at noon at Mustang Baptist Church, Prairie Hill, Texas. Interment at Mt. Calm Area Cemetery, Mt. Calm, Texas.  Mask and social distancing will be required. 

Marvin Earl Nelson was born to Roland and Rosie May Nelson in Sardis, Miss.   

Marvin was employed at Time Manufacturing for 18 years.  He was also a truck driver for Schwerman Trucking and Burnet Trucking Companies. 

Marvin leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, Carolyn Faye Bowers Nelson; two sisters, Ruthie (Jessie) Lee of Fort Worth, and Martha (Jerry) Lewis of Sardis, Miss.; two brothers, Karl Nelson and James Nelson of Fort Worth; children, Bryan (Ashley) Patterson of Waco, and Katrina (Scotty) Pool of Temple; two grandchildren, Brycen and Bria Patterson of Waco; sisters and brothers-in-law, Evelyn Oliver and Yvonne (William) Scott of Axtell,  Dorothy Paul of Marlin, Willie (Willsana) Bowers of Waco, and  Jessie (Antionette) Bowers of  Columbia, S.C.; a devoted friend, Mike Gross of Waco, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
