Ralph James Garrett Jr.

Ralph James Garrett Jr., 72, of Stranger, passed away at his home.  Funeral services were held on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021, at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin with Reverend Harry Dean Jr. officiating.  Interment followed in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family received friends before the service.

Mr. Garrett was born on Feb. 1, 1949, in Marlin, to Ralph James and Betty Jo (Albert) Garrett.  He loved watching classic westerns, football, listening to classic rock and smoking cigars, but his true love was being with his family and friends.  

His parents preceded him in death.

Survivors include his son, Major James Garrett, US Army, and his wife, Laura; grandchildren, Austin, Max, Grace and Stephen; brother, Rick Garrett; and his wife, Helen; sister, Nancy Blocker; and her husband, Raymond; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
