Roy Smith

Roy Smith, 62, formerly of Marlin, passed away Feb. 15, 2021, in Galveston.  

Graveside services were held Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at Primera Iglesia Baputista Church in Marlin.  Visitation was from 10-11:30 a.m. at Primera Iglesia Baputista Church in Marlin.

Roy was born on Sept. 2, 1958, to Raymond C. and Sipriana (Guerrero) Smith in Marlin. He has been a resident of Houston for 30 years. Roy worked at Austin Industrial as a production worker for 13 years.  Also he worked at Equistar as a production worker.  He enjoyed being with his family, camping, and just spending time outdoors.

Roy is preceded in death by his father, Raymond C. Smith Sr., and brother, Raymond Smith Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Bergeron of Humble; mother, Sipriana Smith of Marlin; sisters, Lupe Alaman and husband Sam of Marlin, Carmen Salas of Fort Worth, and Glenda Luke and husband Loren of Humble; numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and many cousins.
