Shirley Milton

Graveside Services for Shirley Milton will be held Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Falls County Cemetery, Marlin.  

Family, friends, and others whose lives Shirley touched are invited to the viewing which will be held Sept. 10, 2021, from to noon to 6 p.m. at Paul Funeral Home, located at 208 Charles St., Marlin,  to reminisce, grieve, support each other and, of course, just chat.  Masks and social distancing are required. 

Shirley Milton, age 70, passed away on Monday, Aug. 30, 2021, at Falls Community Hospital.  

She was born June 14, 1951, in Mart, to Rueben “Ed” and Thelma “Lee” Milton.  She was a graduate of Booker T Washington High School.  She worked as a certified nursing assistant displaying a wonderful knack for solving problems.  

Shirley truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures;  chatting with friends, family and in the upbringing of many, and spending time with her grands, greats, nephews and nieces.  Shirley had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way.  

She is survived by her oldest daughter, Rebecca (Ronny) Butler from Marlin; only son, James (Roshunda) Milton from Waco;  and her baby girl, Martha Milton from Marlin; her grandchildren, Joshua Milton, Earlletha Milton, Johnny Butler, LaQuintin Milton, Nikeria Milton, Jaylian Milton, La lTrayl Milton, Jamie Milton, Ti’Quenton Milton, Ja’Quentin Milton and Zi’Quinton Milton; grands and greats, Joslynn, Jhazden, Joshua, Jr, Karter, DJ, Rylo, Malia and many more she raised; and a very special friend (sister) Dee Dee Brown and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  

The family will receive your condolences at the home of her eldest daughter, Rebecca Milton, 401 Williams Street, Marlin, TX. 

Paul Funeral Home, Marlin, is in charge of arrangements.
