Tammy Marie Tinsley

Tammy Marie Tinsley was born on Nov. 9, 1962, in Denton to Helen and Talmadge Tinsley. She passed away on Feb. 8, 2022 in Utopia. 

A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, Feb. 19, at Utopia Methodist Church officiated by Pastor Chad Chamness.

As a child, Tammy loved spending time with her grandparents, Ruth and T. D. Taylor and Mildred and John Tinsley and her cousins, Deborah, Scott, and Jeffery Tinsley.

Tammy earned her Master’s Degree in education from SMU to become the third of four generations of teachers. She held other numerous certifications in fields of education, as well as holding positions on The Celina, Texas ISD School Board and The Celina ISD Parent Teacher Organization.

Tammy loved her family and her fiance’, the beach, where she collected many shells, The Texas Hill Country, sunrises and sunsets, her pets, and so much more. She was an avid photographer taking outstanding pictures of all the things she loved.

Tammy leaves behind her daughter, Kristin Montague and husband Charlie Montague VI and grandsons Seven and Nash of Medina; son, Dillon Taylor Kiran of The Colony; her mother, Helen Taylor Sehon and husband Tommy Sehon of Marlin; her father, Talmadge Tinsley and wife Bonnie of Dallas; fiance’, John Ward of St. Petersburg, Fla.; aunt, Kathy Wilson and husband Craig of Montgomery; cousins, and many friends.

Memorials for Tammy may be made to Utopia Methodist Church, Marlin First United Methodist Church, SPCA or the charity of your choice.
