Vivian E. Griffin

Vivian E. Griffin, age 81, of Marlin, passed from this earth into her heavenly home on Friday, Sept. 17, 2021. 

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25, at Powerhouse Church of God in Christ; 701 Commerce Street, Marlin. Burial will follow at Rocky Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 24, at Paul Funeral Home; 208 Charles Street, Marlin.  Mask and social distancing will be required.

Vivian Griffin was born on March 2, 1940, in Falls County to Kermit Griffin and Anna Mae Washington. She graduated from Marlin High School in 1959 and later earned her Licensed Vocational Nursing certificate at Torbett Hospital  in 1962 and retired from the Marlin Veterans Administration Hospital in 1993. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Robert Griffin, Kermit Griffin II, Betty Walker and Henry Griffin. 

Survivors include six children, Adam T. Griffin, Barbara J. Johnson, Stanley C. Griffin, Cassius E. Griffin, Sandra K. Griffin, and Jennifer Griffin; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
