William Earl (Will) Kuehne

William Earl (Will) Kuehne passed from this earthly life to his heavenly home on Friday, Oct. 14, 2022.

Will was born July 16, 1953, to William G. and Johanna M. (Pankonien) Kuehne.  He lived most of his life in Marlin and graduated from Marlin High School in 1971.  Will also graduated from TSTC with a degree in Digital Media Designs.

In his younger years, he helped coach baseball for the 10–12-year-old boys. He also loved to fish on the Gulf Coast and travel.

He worked hard all his life and most of the time worked two jobs which meant he never got much rest. Most of those years were in Distribution as an independent contractor courier. He often said, “If the wheels aren’t turning, I’m not earning”. Will also spent the last 15 years as a Hospital Services Supervisor for the American Red Cross and Carter Blood Care.

His pride and joys are his two children, Amanda and David and grandson, Miles and granddaughter Megan.

Will always found humor in even the worst situations and never complained or felt sorry for himself even though his finances and his health were deteriorating.  He loved to cook and experiment with putting his own twists on recipes.  He was actually a very good cook and surprised many with his creations.

He shared with others even though he had little himself.  He always said, “I have some, but some have none”.  He was truly the hands and feet of God in his kindness.

Will is survived by his daughter, Amanda Williams and her husband, Micah, and granddaughter Megan Williams; his son, David Kuehne and grandson, Miles Kuehne; also, a son, not by blood, but by heart, soul, and loyalty, Jeff Welch; sisters, Diana Massey and husband Joe, and Betty Dragoo; and several nieces and nephews and friends.

A celebration of Will’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022, at Adams Funeral Home with Reverend Billy Burchfield officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery.  Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2022 at the funeral home.
