William Keith Glover
William Keith Glover passed away on July 4, 2017. Visitation was from 5 to 7 PM Friday July 7, 2017 at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin. A Memorial Service was held at 1pm Saturday July 8, 2017 at First Baptist Church, Marlin. Keith (aka “Papa”) was born August 4, 1930 in Vernon, Texas to John and Maude Glover. He was married to the love of his life, Marilyn Gage Glover, on June 18, 1949. Keith was preceded in death by his mother and father and by three siblings, Kenneth Glover, Roberta Davidson, and Doris Eddington. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; brothers James Glover and wife Cynthia, Ronnie Glover and wife Freda; sons Randy Glover and wife Becki, and Monty Glover and wife Terri; three grandchildren, Jana Grundy and husband Brant, John Glover and wife Cheyanne, and Casey Glover; and four greatgrandchildren, Luke, Alex, Carson, and Cameron; and numerous nieces and nephews. Keith worked hard and was a “Ford Man” his entire life, beginning his career in the parts department with Hall Motor Company in Littlefield, Texas. In 1965 he left Hall Motor Company to become a Ford dealer himself with 2 partners and they opened Sudan Motor Company in Sudan, Texas, which eventually became “Keith Glover Ford”. In 1972 he moved his family to Marlin, Texas where he opened “Keith Glover Ford-Mercury”, which has been “Glover Ford” since 2010 and his son Monty currently runs as the family business. Keith loved God and his church, serving as a Deacon at First Baptist Church in Marlin, Texas. He also loved his family and was a devoted husband to Marilyn, his wife of 68 years. He was also active in the community as a member of the Lions Club, Rotary Club and served several terms on the board at the Marlin Chamber of Commerce. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to either First Baptist Church (309 Coleman Street, Marlin, TX 76661), or Boys and Girls Club of Falls County (5136 N. Hwy. 7, Marlin, TX 76661).
