Letter to the Editor - May 20

Class of 2020 Graduates, I am pleased by your accomplishments, and you are truly blessed to have completed this phase of your educational journey. This year has been history-making and today you made history. Always remember when you look in the mirror, what you see is your toughest challenger. In order for you to better your situation and succeed, you must work harder than the next person, because if it was easy, everyone would be successful. As you now know, change does not come easy, but, "If Nothing Changes; Then Nothing Changes."

I ask you to Live a life that matters, Love something greater than yourself, Lead others from wherever you are and Leave places better than you found them. But remember, life is about the 3 C's: Choices, Chances, and Consequences: Make the wrong choice, take life chances or suffer major consequences. Life lessons are NOT always learned from being successful, but life lessons are learned from trying and failing. Today you are Leaders and remember GOOD leaders were once great followers, Great Followers become great leaders, and Great Leaders always lead from the front.

You are the Master of Your Fate, and the Captain of Your Soul...your integrity is yours, it could never be sold. Congratulations Graduates of 2020 and much success.
