Mayor outlines council goals

To the citizens of Marlin,

We invite you to attend the council meetings of the City of Marlin and base your opinions on the facts and not the opinions of others. You elected me to serve as your Mayor so that we, as a community, could engage and make needed changes that we were not seeing occur within our city. The goal and intent of this council has been to unify this community, identify and establish a functional government that works for all citizens of Marlin, cut wasteful spending, and make needed upgrades to our infrastructure.  We have not wavered from that promise.  Any reasonable minded individual knows that what we inherited was due to many, many years of neglect and could not have been corrected in one year.  This council is committed to ensuring that we progress forward and will continue to do so according to the Texas Government Code which governs our conduct. The Most High God continues to be our guide and through Him and His guidance, we will succeed.
