Mighty microwave meltdown

The vote for the first appliance to replace at Home Place tallied two votes (a landslide) in favor of the microwave. Both Hubby and I missed the convenience and the popcorn.

After some shopping at the HEB we romped off to the big box store. Hubby thought I’d get some help inside or choose a small one, so he stayed out with the truckload of groceries. I zipped inside, grabbed an electric chariot and zoomed off to the appliance section. The first microwave I spied was too small – it probably couldn’t hold a full sized plate. The second candidate was too large – and too expensive. I found the middle sized one – just right – and attempted to drop it into the cart basket. Well, it might have been perfect, but it wouldn’t go into the cart the right way. It was too heavy to maneuver, you see. I went for help.
