MISD students earn cosmotology license

Two students from the Marlin High School Career Technology Education department recently completed 1,000 hours in the cosmetology licensing program.

Carmen Moreno and Brittney Willis, who are both 2020 MHS graduates, successfully completed the curriculum and both are eligible to take the first part of the state exam, which is the written exam.

Upon passing the written exam, they are eligible for the practical hand-on exam.

“I am excited for these two young ladies who are the first two students during my tenure who have completed the program,” instructor Connie Massington said. “I am looking forward to them becoming licensed cosmetologists. I have faith that these students will successfully pass the state exams. It’s a great day to be a Marlin Bulldog.”
