Bulldogs announce fall schedule
The Marlin Bulldogs football team is coming off a playoff appearance last season and they hope to come out strong this year and go farther in the playoffs.
This will be an unusual year for the Bulldogs as they will only have three home games on their schedule.
Their scrimmage game will take place on Aug. 20 as they will go on the road against the Bruceville-Eddy Eagles. The first game of the year for Marlin will be one of the rare home games this season as they will face the Riesel Indians at 7:30 p.m.
The Bulldogs will then go on a five game road trip with a bye week on Oct. 1. They will take on Saint Pieper at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 3, then the Valley Mills Eagles on Sept. 10, then the Lexington Eagles on Sept. 17, then Wortham Bulldogs on Sept. 24. They will then have a bye week on Oct. 1 as previously stated. The Bulldogs will head back on the road to take on the Italy Gladiators. All of these five road games will be played at 7:30 p.m.
Marlin will finally be coming back home to the Cayuga Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. for their Homecoming game. Marlin will then head back on the road again to take the Kerens Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. They will then head back home for Senior Night against the Dawson Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Marlin will finish the season on the road against the Axtell Longhorns at 7:30 p.m.
