Bulldogs compete in 7-on-7 play

Last week, the Marlin Bulldogs 7-on-7 football team competed in the state tournament hosted at Veterans Park and Athletic Complex in College Station. 

The Bulldogs played three games on Thursday in the blistering summer heat and came out with a 1-2 record. Their first game was against the Poth Pirates and came up short, losing 15-6. Shortly after that, they took on the Brady Bulldogs and lost another close game 26-21. 

Marlin closed out the day with a matchup with the Harmony Eagles. Marlin finished the day strong, winning 27-12. They were placed as a home team in the championship bracket and were matched up with the Chilton Pirates on Friday. The Bulldogs would lose in a heartbreaker to the Pirates, falling 21-19.
