Lady Dogs fall to LaPoyner in area round of playoffs

The Marlin Lady Bulldogs fell to the LaPoynor Lady Flyers on Friday 49-30 in the area round of the playoffs. 

The Lady Bulldogs fell early in the game, being outscored 13-3 in the first quarter. They fought their way back in the game and won the second quarter 14-12. This made their deficit at halftime 25-17. The Lady Flyers would pull away in the second half and outscored Marlin 24-13 in the second half to hand the Lady Bulldogs the 49-30 loss. 

Kendria Trotter was one of the leading scorers with six points and also had three rebounds. Shawna Robinson recorded five points and an assist, and also played well on defense with two rebounds and two steals. Mckenna Johnson played well with six points and two assists, along with three rebounds, three steals, and a block.
