State TEA Accountability Ratings Released

TEA Accountability Ratings Released for School Districts Statewide, Data from ‘24-’25 and ‘23-’24 The Texas Education Agency (TEA) released the 2025 A-F Accountability Ratings for public school systems and campuses across the state on Friday, August 15. Additionally, the delayed 2024 ratings have been made available to school systems and the public following the resolution of legal proceedings that previously prevented their release.

Falls County Sheriff’s Office Launches New App to Connect and Keep Residents Safe

The Falls County Sheriff’s Office has announced the launch of a new mobile app designed to improve communication, provide quick access to resources, and enhance public safety.The Sheriff Connect App allows residents to access a variety of services at their fingertips, including jail bookings and inmate information, livestock registration forms, sex offender lists, and other important tools.

No Tax Rate Increase for Marlin ISD

A Public Hearing: Proposed Tax Rate was the subject of the Marlin ISD Board of Managers’ August 18, meeting in the new Boardroom at Marlin High School. Newly elected President Byrleen Terry presided over the meeting. The Board of Managers (BOM) present were Kathleen Barrett, Rosalyn Dimerson, Misty Ehlers, Billy Johnson, Winnette Outland, Marsha Ridlehuber, and outgoing Superintendent Dr. Darryl Henson. Dr. Rolando Trevino, TEA School Conservator, was not in attendance.
