On May 4, the Falls County Samaritan House in Marlin awarded clean, quality outerwear clothing in sizes 4 to 14 to Falls County Community ARC Coalition volunteers Derinda Austin and Olga Rosas. The clothing was directed to Marlin Elementary School Nurse Judy Morrow for emergency use with Pre-K, kindergarten and first grade children.

The superintendent of Chilton Independent School District, Hubbard is one of several finalists recognized for their lasting impact on rural education in Texas. This year, the Texas Rural Education Association received the highest number of nominations for its “Of the Year” awards in program history.
