As many students enjoyed two weeks off for their Christmas break, many athletes only got a couple of days off as they had practice and were on the court playing ball. The following are hoop summaries from the central region over the break.
Another week of high school basketball is in the books, and it did not disappoint. C.H. Yoe Yoemen improved to 5-6 on the season, going undefeated at the Moody Tournament. The Lady Yoe sit at 7-7 so far this season. They begin district play this coming Friday against neighboring Rockdale.
Local teams are getting geared up and ready to battle against opponents on the hardwood this week, and over the weekend. Lots of teams are playing in tournaments the first weekend here in December.
