Earlier this month, a group of 8th-grade students from Marlin Middle School, led by their history teacher Ms. Rhonda Milton, embarked on an unforgettable educational journey to Boston, Massachusetts— a city deeply rooted in the founding of the United States and rich in African American heritage.
The 2025 theme “Celebrating the Legacy Today & Beyond” was indeed just that as the Falls County Booker T. Washington Alumni & Ex-Students Educational Association (BTW) returned to their Marlin roots celebrating its 34th Annual School Reunion, July 4-6. The Class of 1975 was the honorees as they celebrated their 50th class anniversary. Additionally, the Class of 1965 (60 years) and Class of 1955 (70 years) were highlighted as part of the celebration.
The Marlin Volunteer Fire Department responded to four separate traffic accidents on Sunday, all occurring in quick succession across Falls County.
The City of Marlin thanks you for cooperating with the water restrictions during this boil water notice. The samples have been sent to the lab per TCEQ’s rules and regulations on getting off a boil water notice. They required us to stay on the Notice until the mobile plant is off the property. The mobile plant is gone and the samples came back good and water is safe to drink and use however you please. Thank you again for your cooperation during this trying time for the City of Marlin.
Falls County Commissioners Court met Monday, June 23, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., County Judge Jay Elliott presiding. The commissioners present were Milton Albright (Pet. 1), F. A. Green (Pet 2), Jason Willberg (Pet. 3), and Nita Wuebker (Pet. 4). ADA Steve Sharp was present.
