A semi truck struck a pedestrian on southbound Highway 6 on Saturday, Aug. 2. The pedestrian was airlifted to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple by PHI Med 1-5, based in Temple.
While boil notices and city water issues are not new problems to Marlin residents, the continuous, cyclical nature of water system failures is escalating feelings of frustration in the community.
The City of Marlin announced Monday night that Coleman Street was closed in front of the former Falls Hotel due to falling debris.

The stage is set for one of Central Texas’s most anticipated annual events as 13 young women from across the region prepare to compete in the 2025 Miss Central Texas Pageant on Saturday, July 26, at 7:00 p.m. at the Marlin High School Auditorium.
The Marlin Independent School District is currently seeking multiple high level positions at the high school for the upcoming school year. The positions that are open are principal, assistant principal, head band director, counselor.
